Calgary Gardens were situated in Canada. It is also called devonian gardens. Calgary Gardens is a large indoor park. It is also botanical garden and is located in Alberta, Canada. Calgary Gardens is the most famous places in Canada and lots of visitors had visited here and enjoy the beauty of the gardens. History of Calgary Gardens

Calgary Gardens opened in the year 1977. It was designed by Mr. J.H.Cook, Architects and Engineers. The over all construction cost of calgary gardens was around 9 million dollars at that time.

Brief about Calgary Gardens

When calgary gardens was opened in the year 1977, there were around 20000 plants in the gardens which represented 135 tropical and local species. All were well decorated with a beautiful waterfalls covered with bridges. It is a permanent art exhibition for all the visitors. Popularity of the calgary gardens is spread all over the world and all the peoples who visited in Canada do not stop themselves to visit here.

Present Status.

After completing a life cycle of more than 33 years, it was decided by the authority to renovate the gardens so that the beauty of gardens can be sustained or increase. For that purpose, the gardens was closed for renovation in the year 2008. It was a very bad news for lovers of calgary gardens all over the world who till now not visited the gardens and wants to visit here for once. The window for visiting the gardens was expected in the late 2011 but due to some reasons it was not possible to complete the renovation work at that time. It is expected the calgary gardens would be opened in the mid of 2012 which is a great news for the lovers of the gardens.
